At The Country Trader- what inspires me

Despite it officially being “summer”, the temperature in has been Sydney fluctuating dramatically between 30C and 21C, often in one day! My experience at Masterchef Live 2011

MasterChef LIVE (www.mastercheflive.com.au) is an ultimate foodie event in Sydney that attracts a huge crowd of food lovers and the like. I was very excited when a week before the opening I received an e-mail from the event organisers, Brand Events (http://www.brandevents.co.uk/where_we_are/australia/), asking if I would like to help to decorate a number of display shelves showcasing various products sent in by the event sponsors.  Although I’ve never been involved in food styling before, I couldn’t let pass such an opportunity and said “yes”. What I Wore – Martin Margiela Dress

On Christmas Eve my husband and I were invited to a friend’s birthday at Mirage, a Russian restaurant. I thought it was a great opportunity to wear my new dress that I had bought at Century 21 in New York back in August but hadn’t had the chance to wear yet. I’m very particular when it comes to purchasing dresses. I found that frills, soft fabrics, floral patterns, wide collars, puffed sleeves and pastels – in other words, all that is described as romantic – are not for me.
